I have had Bouviers for many years, but they were companions – family dogs – no shows, no sports. When my Yates died, like many, I thought I would wait to get another dog but before long was yearning a Bouvier. Happily, one of our local breeders, had a litter. Febe was the only female, so the contract was that to become her co-owner with Eileen and Megan McBride; I would need to show and breed her. Megan McBride (now Rader) showed her, and I was Febe’s ride.

My special Bouvier, Febe, has brought me friends, experiences and taught me to stay humble, savor the successes and especially enjoy the ride. We have tried most activities, and she (we) liked the ones that are outside and always different – scent work, herding, and carting. She is a grand champion versatile Bouvier. She has been in the Top 20 for performance for the last five years. This grande dame has had pups in the Top 20 for both conformation and performance. She still loves her food and would rather try new things than practice old skills. She has eased back and does things on her terms (well, she always did that). The sofa is her happy place, and being with her is mine.
