Meet Dr. Thomasy DVM PhD DACVO

Dr. Sara Thomasy is a Professor of Comparative Ophthalmology at the University of California in Davis. She has a PhD and is a DVM and a DACVO. Her research interests include ocular disease in large animals, corneal wound healing, glaucoma, ocular pharmacology, and antiviral therapy for feline herpesvirus.

Dr. Thomasy is an investigator and co-investigator in several research studies that cover a broad range of eye conditions. She is the principal investigator for the AKC CHF research grant 02336 which is focused on studying the genetics of primary angle closure glaucoma in American Cocker Spaniels.
